I need advice with one more combination please. Can I wear a black tie, with a black shirt and charcoal grey pants in a business setting? I think it all goes well and matches but I don't want to look like I'm going to a funeral.

Thx!

Oh, and just to show that I'm actually learning something about fashion, a tie should never be the same pattern as the shirt, right? In the example below, this tie works but a tie with vertical stripes would not work with a shirt with vertical stripes, right?

You can't wear that in any setting whatsoever. Burn that shirt. Rule #1: tie darker than shirt.

If you don't know what you're doing, you need to be wearing shirts that are predominantly white, or predominately light blue. Start there.

lmao! Can at least wear the shirt without a tie? Perry Ellis must have made it for a reason. :)

Black shirt and black tie combos only really work for boxing promoters and titty bar bouncers.

It can be done in an informal setting.

Black shirt and tie works very well in business IF your business is to bring the girls to the brothel in the afternoon and pick them up again at night
