Black suit with a colorful bowtie?

Hey Hey,

so I am going to a work party (formal dinner) and I'd like to wear a black suit with a light colored shirt (white, light blue, light grey)

But I;d like to wear a bowtie.. is this a no no?

i tried goolging black suits with bowties but usually it's the Super Formal of Black, white and Black bowtie..

i know the rule of thumb for a black suit is to wear a light shirt and a bit brighter necktie, but i am not sure if the same rule applies for a bowtie..

i have a bowtie at home that is blue and yellow stripped... would that be a fashion disaster?

Evening event. The darker and shinier the tie, the better. Got a dark blue or black satin tie? Wear it.
