BLACK suit, pastel yellow shirt...what necktie?

i have to go to a wedding and they are coordinating the shirt color to the bridesmaid's and I'm partnered to someone wearing a mustard dress. what color necktie do i wear??

If you check out a color wheel, purple is across from yellow so something in a lavender grenadine should be a winner.

Purple, as above stated. Or you could try an analogous color such as something in the green category.

You have nice choices there. Blue or bluish purple can look really good even on photographs.

I think a dark purple grenadine, as would a black one. A grey wool of a noticeably different shade from your suit would go quite well also.

A black suit makes it harder than grey would. A darker grey or burgundy grenadine. Beg them to go with charcoal.:D

apparently they've told the others to wear black and since im the only one who doesnt want to wear black, itll be cheaper if i change rather than have 6 other dudes change.

Yep. Black it is. If you have any pull with the Bride, you can try to convince her to at least rethink the shirt color. If not, just make the best of it. It's about her, not you. :D

I agree with the above. A black tie with white pin dots will go very well, given the shirt is solid or faintly patterned.
