annnndddd there are no seconds OR firsts in a 9 B or C black AE strand that the shoe bank can find.

I'm rather disappointed right now :(. damn foot; i need to fatten it up.

    I spose I'll check for PA's or 5A's

Consider yourself lucky. They stopped you from making the mistake of buying the strands in black. Do they have them in walnut or brown? The walnuts will be in sale starting tomorrow at Nordstrom.

Fitting question: I think it might be the model and not the size.

I tried on again, and the majority of the shoe is snug; it's the heel area that is quite loose. It slides a little when I walk, but feels great around middle of foot and toes.

Maybe I just need a different cut?

/I still like the way it looks haha

Strange. I've heard very senior litigators start sentences with "When I was just a baby lawyer..."

    same.
like auto mechanic v. airplane mechanic.....hmm.
/I do work on guardianship stuff, so.....

    anyway. shoes:
I'm thinking a half size down might work. I push my foot to the very back of the shoe, and it felt fine. when I pushed my foot to the front where it was quite snug, I found I might be a half-size large.
picture attached (my finger didnt have to pull to get in....the gap was clearly there w/o finger poking into it

Don't fall for that one. They offer those "merit" scholarships to lots of prospective students, not telling them that most of the students won't be able to maintain the GPA required to keep the scholarship. Furthermore, there is a ton of bullshit required just to become a licensed attorney. And at least twice as much to be a happy and successful one. You've dodged a bullet, son. There are a lot of other jobs with less stress and more money. I suggest you examine your options.

ordered 1/2 size down. stupid me didnt think to check Nordstrom sale, even though yall mentioned it numerous times. Well, checked this morning and it's walnut strands and park aves for $220. I might pick up walnuts, depending on the fit of the black AEs in 8.5 that come in a few days. I'm excited to just have a shoe that fits well (old florsheim doesnt fit so well, and those have cracks in sole).

By all means make sure the shoe fits. However, if the shoe fits everywhere well but the heel, you might consider getting a tongue pad, which pushes your foot further back in the heel and makes it less likely to slip out. They're bout $1.50 each and are easy to apply. I used them for a pair of shoes which haven't broken in quite yet and they fit much better. Just a thought!

Come on. If you are a lawyer at least get some EG or G&G. Our profession has an image to maintain.

Well aware of that trap haha.
All but one of my scholly offers this cycle were guaranteed with no stipulations. One choice that would have ended up only costing me 12k over three years in tuition fees (run of the mill T2 school though, and I only applied cause of an application waiver).

I'm at a T3 school. I've never had aspirations for Big Law, so it works for me. Got into a better school and turned it for this. I'm not in this "game" to hate my life.
