Black Shirt with Black Suit. I have to get this off my chest.

**NOTE** My shoes are size 13 black Alfani shoes with a square tip. I feel like they are huge and are like clown shoes.

Neither Alfani shoes nor square toed shoes are well regarded here. If they're loafers on top of that, such as these:

They are not loafers, they have a regular string tie like other shoes. I thought they looked quite nice. If Oxfords are expensive then it seems unlikely.

Oxfords are a style of shoe, not a brand. But to get a nice pair that you'd want to keep for a while would probably be at least $200, so just get your shoes shined beforehand instead of getting a new pair.

So is it right to assume that in the evening, navy blue to grey suits are more acceptable? Black tending to only suit formals (wear)? I assume lighter suits are meant for daytime.

Also, what is the rule of thumb concerning accessories? (Pocket watch, sunglasses, etc)

This is nitpicky, but traditionally a wristwatch should not be worn with evening wear. At one time I think it was even considered bad manners, as in why do you need to keep checking the time when you're partying and having fun.

There are plenty of wristwatches that are appropriate to wear with a business suit during the day. There are some others that are not very offensive with evening wear. There are also plenty that are not appropriate with either.

Then I'm inclined to ask another question. Since I've narrowed it down to a white shirt, where/what type would be best? I'm sure a white shirt is simple and just that and I know not to get one with stripes since my suit has pinstripes, but where should I start?
