Anyone one else pick up any of these pieces and or carry it in their store? We just recently got it in and I am not huge on jewelry but this collection is amazing.

What do you guys think? I am grabbing this piece for myself.

Usually a little dark for my taste,, but the craftsmenship is unreal.

I'm not a huge fan but I think you're really late either way. Scrimshaw has been done to death and I think black sheep had this for a couple of years now, no?

IT has been out for awhile, but I have never seen it anywhere. Just trying to find out what people thought about it. I myself did not see much of this (any to be honest) over the last few years. I am a big fan either way old or new. The work is crazy.

You see it a lot in places like Brooklyn. It was a hipster thing. You can also go on ebay and search for scrimshaw and find actual ivory from items like piano keys, etc. that have been carved with intricate designs just like this for a fraction of the cost and probably more original.

I'm a big fan and have been following them since they won Gen Art last year. As far as I know they've never sold in Brooklyn, I bought mine at Bblessing. I also think that saying scrimshaw is a "hipster" thing or "done to death" is a bit of a limited outlook on these pieces, don't you? I don't see the work as trendy, but more like stuff you keep for life. The craft is nuts, and the packaging sick. Stuff on ebay is pretty dinky. I think I'll pass this one to my kids. I guess I don't get over stuff so quick.
