Black Blazer?

Okay, okay, I'm not getting a black suit. No worries. But do any of you ever wear a black blazer? I saw one today at a thrift store, great fit, good condition. Notch lapels, no one is going to confuse it for an orphaned tux jacket.

Can this work, say with some grey slacks, without looking like a tool?

Match it with light chinos too maybe. I like black blazers. With the right shirt etc they can look timeless. Stick a hankerchief in the top pocket and away you go!

I have a black blazer that I wear frequently as well. People complement me on it, so I guess it looks ok.

I have a black cashmere/wool blazer and I find it hard to wear. I like to throw it on with jeans. But trying to dress it up, I don't know, there is never a time when I wouldn't rather pair the outfit with a navy blazer.

+1. A navy blazer is always better. There is no such thing as a black blazer and a black odd jacket is the solution for a problem that does not exist.
