1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What's the call on birkenstocks? Still worth hanging on to? I have two pair. One looks like the two strap kind that everyone seems to have, but with a strap on the back. The other is a clog. Thoughts? Is my sentiment getting the best of me?

I have the same two pairs (dark brown three-strap sandals and light brown clogs). I say keep em. I'm assuming, of course, yours are in good shape -- or easily repairable. I also have to suggest a pair of actual shoes by Birkenstock. I say "actual" because they're closed in and lace up. The strap over the tongue has two pieces of leather running perpindicular to the length of the foot woven with the shoe. The two pieces have just a little bit of space between them to let small slits appear. The color has a very orange tint (luckily I have a belt that matches EXACTLY). Yeah, this probably sounds very strange. If someone can tell me how to upload a picture into a post, I could do that...
