Inspired by the best and worst purchases thread. What are your biggest fashion regrets of 2010? Anything from a bad purchase, an item you wanted to buy but missed out on, or just something you wore that made you feel like an idiot.

Classic mistake!

Mine:

Not buying a Barbour jacket I saw
Not buying this insane overcoat I saw at a used clothing store. Beaver Lapels...
My poorly fitted Lee Denim Jacket... damn!
Not buying that black gingham pocket square at Brooks.
Thinking that a lavender coloured v-neck sweater would look good on me.

Alden Indy boots. If one has a moderately large foot and wears slim pants, it is like one is wearing well-crafted clown shoes.

I've had the clown shoe effect with some of my slimmer jeans too. Drives me mad.

You're just saying that because indy boots look like joe camel's schnoz.

Accepting a free black gigham button-up JCrew shirt from my dad in L and taking it to the tailor to make it a M, paying $15 to take it in but forgetting to shorten it. Then paying another $12 to shorten it. Then realizing the upper-arms are too big and giving it away.
