Another post set me looking for the website where I bought an oversize Soviet pilot's watch a couple of years ago. Turns out to be: http://www.russiansouvenirs.com/poljot.htm As you can see, the Russians do big and overbuilt as well as anyone-- several 42mm designs that will bust your wrist. Poljot, by the way, means "Pilot" and is Russia's oldest watch company, maker of their submarine clocks and astronaut watches. Most of the movements are derived from Forties era Hamilton, Buren, or Swiss movements-- manual wind double register chronos. I paid $250 for a nice 39mm chrono, but there are a lot of other designs available. Best of all, a Poljot is a legitimate brand, not a knockoff. YMMV. I have no connection with these guys other than one purchase.
