Your example of the Sartorialist is not fitting. First of all, he did not openly and on multiple occassions asked for feedback. Second, he did not punish those with less than flattering comments. Third, whereas publishing gushing reviews is self-serving, it has nothing in common with the case here.


Let me get this straight: Someone wrote an unflattering online review of a magazine published by a person with borderline narciccistic tendency. Enraged, the man behind the magazine decided to reject the reviewer's subscription, and refunded him the money.

If this is all there is to it, I think calling it a 'supression of free speech' is a bit over the top. This is not like the US trying to stop Iranian president from speaking at the UN; Instead, it is more like a petty quarrel between two high school girls.
