man, i just came back from minneapolis/st. paul and apart from uptown i was pretty dissapointed with the fashion there - even with options like the mall of america. i actually think its better down here in dallas/houston. it must stink livin in the midwest, haha

Uptown?

There's not much special about the Mall of America, but the downtown/Nicollet Mall area and downtown Edina are pretty good...

I was in Minneapolis for a weekend about a year ago, and I wasn't impressed either. I never went over to Edina which I regret, but I didn't see much in the Nicollet Mall. It is a beautiful downtown area though...

Yes, I just hate traversing up and down Michigan Avenue in Chicago.

Hermes, Barney's, Gucci, Burberry, Louis Vuitton...when are we going to get some REAL fashion?

You're telling me! The only 1/2 way decent store I know of is Len Druskin. They have a location in Southdale and the Galleria in Edina, and a men's only store on Nicollet Mall. The MOA pretty much sucks except for maybe Nordstrom Rack and MetroPark.
Thankfully I don't live dreadfully far from either Edina or Minneapolis, but I'd rather live in a suburb of Chicago with more plentiful choices of shops!
