Having invested in some decent shoes over the past year, I'm interested in learning whatever I can in order to lengthen their useful life. I'm pretty clear on shoe shines - great info found here and on AAAC. Rather, I'm more interested in questions like:
1. What are the best leather and suede protectors?
2. How can you extend the life of leather-soled shoes? (Beyond purchasing Goodyear welted models that can be replaced/repaired).
3. Do you use those things (argh... what are they called?!?!?) to protect the toe and heel of your shoe soles? And do they work?
And anything else you might recommend would be appreciated. Thanks.
