Best way to get people to spend $700 on a bag that cost $5 (if even that much) to make.

I like very few car logos or fashion logos. Despite popular opinion here, I think the Ford logo as well as the GM logo are some of the best logos in the auto industry.

Hussein Chalayan is the other one I like but it's not available, at least on google images. Also, Viktor & Rolf has a great logo.

Yes Brian. I honestly do not agree with what Jon said earlier about the GM and Ford logos. While I will accept he may have some problems with the quality of their automobiles, I would argue their logos are world reknowned and in my opinion not stylistically inferior to the ones he posted as positive examples.

    One of my Favs:

Ingenious design with the space between the Ex making an arrow.

Supposedly, when the logo was first presented to company executives, Fred Smith, the founder, was the only one to see the arrow.

my favorite "fashion" logo, and not just because it occupies 50% of my closet

like the label itself, it's playful and not too serious

I've always felt that HP should relaunch this for a line of personal electronics.

I never said I don't like the Ford logo! Only the GM one! I think the ford Logo is a bit outdated, and even without financial problems they never made fantastic cars. The Cadillac logo is great and they are owned by GM! So is the Saab logo. I think the VW logo is great...but that the Honda "˜H' is completely unimaginative, at least the Toyota oval-"˜T' has some style to it.

The Louis Vuitton monogram is rather iconic:

any logo can be world reknown if you throw enough money behind it. that doesn't make it a good logo.

brian, what's so great about the getty images logo?

i have lots of nike, but i don't care for the swoosh. the adidas tre-foil and 3 stripes beat it hands down.

labelking, i believe the alfa logo is modeled after the official seal of the city of milan.

I always liked the Chanel double C logo, the YSL vertical logo, the black label barcode and flame logos, and the Dogtown skateboards winged cross.

It was a girl design student, she was paid only $35 but was later given a chunk of stock.

Here are my favorites. It's hard to beat them in terms of design and what they portray through such simple graphics.

    What, no [IMG] ?

Never seen this in my life, that I know of. Cool mark, obviously not great marketing.

    England's first reg'd trademark.

And an even more recognizeable one:

One of my personal faves because it actually symbolizes something about the company, yet remains iconic:

    Yay beer! Hooray beer!

Slogan of a different beer company, but still timeless in its message.
