I'm getting a flat (for the first time) next year. It's a 1 bedroom and gonna be my place for the next 4 years - but it isn't furnished.

My question is: where do you go to get ideas for decorating the place? I don't want it to scream family/commitment - more like single guy.

I have a minimalist fetish and get mildly distressed when things look crowded because I always lose my lecture notes.

Any help appreciated.

I am a fan of apartmenttherapy.com too. A lot of it is really frilly/girly ideas, but take a look at their house tours and save the images you like. I have a folder full of ideas saved on my harddrive.

T can have good stuff. I'm a fan of remodelista.com because they actually go through the trouble of listing the items and linking to where you can buy them, etc...

I really like old english style homes. Sadly I live in a modern apartment. I have alot of nice(and rather expensive) furniture but just feel I have never pulled it together like these people have. I should get a professional at some point to come and help me.
