I'd like to read a bit about Theodore Roosevelt. There are a bunch of biographies out there, plus his autobiography and a few others he wrote.

Can anyone recommend one to pick up? Shorter is probably better - I don't know if I can commit to a 700-900 page book.

The Morris book is about a thousand pages, but it's so good you won't notice the length. The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt. - B

The Morris book mentioned above is really worth reading -- his second one is not as good, Theodore Rex...

Another interesting read is 'River of Doubt' -- covers a canoe trip down a part of the Amazon that TR did post Presidency. Nearly killed him. The guy was a bit off his rocker...

I'm thinking about getting The Wilderness Warrior. I've read good reviews so far, and I'm intensely interested in that aspect of Roosevelt's life.
