Hi all,

I'm looking for the "best" tailor for shirts in Hong kong.
Best meaning here :
Greatest choice in fabrics.
Best craftsmanship.

I was told A Man Heng cheong (spell ?) and WW Chan were great, but most mention them for suits...
Anyone has knowledge of B Clemo ?

Any other name to recommend ?

Thanks all in advance !

Really ?

I thought they were very "industrial" in their way of working...

So you would recommend that over the ones I mentionned ?

I never got a shirt made anywhere else made excdpt for WW Chan or Ascot chang. The WW chan shirts were a bit snug for my liking and had limited fabrics to select from but this was their shop in Shanghai. AC, I've used them for about 20 shirts and the construction and fabric selection is top rate. But they are expensive.

I see...
What is the price range for shirts (I understand it depends on the material etc...), but just to get an idea...

Ascot Chang makes a real good shirt - craftsmanship is good. I've heard they are best by reputation in HK

About HKD1400 for Thomas Mason 100s. They have lots of others to select from.

It is bespoke. They keep a paper pattern. For MTM, try Jantzen. Maybe you should do more search here. There are loads on HK shirtmakers.

How about WW Chan? Are Chan shirts MTM or Bespoke?

No idea. I have only seen paper patterns at AC and David's Shirts. Chan, A-Man and other tailors outsource shirtmaking as it is not their core business. Shirtmakers and tailors are very different trades, at least in HK.

I'd consider Chan bespoke given the amount of attention they give. Ascot probably has the widest range of fabrics.

In HK, I'd probably go with Ascot Chang. He makes an excellent shirt.

Thanks all for that...Looks like Ascott is the place to visit for shirts...
Any experience with a particular shop ?
How long is it to make the shirts ?
