I can get Allen Edmonds Burtons for $115 on ebay. Are there better shoes that I can get for around $100-$200? Loakes?

I'm certain that there ar eplenty of experts who will respond, but let me give you my .02 bytes worth of experience. Right now I'm sitting in my hotel in Sao Paulo Brazil after a 12 hour day of meetings, walking to restaurants for lunch and dinner... etc.

I'm wearing a pair of of Allen Edmond Evanstons (black) that I picked up on eBay BNIB for about $125.00 shipped. After such a long day my feet feel great! I've also gotten some nice compliments here on the look of them.

If you can get AEs in that price range, I doubt you're going to find much better.

+1 for Allen Edmonds. They are a great shoe at a great price. They are pretty fairly priced at retail, and a positive steal when marked down.

Not sure what you're going to use them for, but the Burtons seem to have a more business casual flair to them. I would not pair them with a suit or use for anything formal.

Other than that, $115 for brand new AE's is a pretty darn good deal. I have 3 pairs of Allen Edmonds and they have been fantastic in almost every way.

What about the Drydens? I can get those for the same price. I want the most versatile shoe possible.

The AE Dryden in Mocha (dark brown) is a nice shoe. It's slightly square toed, but looks pretty nice and is versatile.

I'm planning to buy some for wear with a suit or business casual, so loafers are out.

Brooks Brothers Peal on ebay. They almost never reach $200
