All right boys, here is the issue:

When I recently purchased my Lobb's, the captoe shined like a mirror. Since I have polished them, I have been unable to re-create that shine. I currently use a two sided (one textured, one smooth) rag for the toe. I use Saphir medaille d' or wax. I have read that some users use panty hose, and some use a car polishing cloth? I just want that high-wattage shine back in my life. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

ELG

You can do a search for "mirror shine", or "bulling shoes" for a lot of info on this. Basically it involves adding some drops of water after applying polish and making little circles with a cloth to bring out the shine.

T-shirt to apply base coat. T-shirt and water to apply another ultra thin layer. Use the smallest circular motion you can make. The shoes should start to seriously shine while you're doing this. Allow the polish to dry a bit. Use the nylon ever-so lightly to buff...mostly to remove the swirls.
