Hey guys,

I'm in Paris for the next couple of days. I was wondering if you had any suggestions/recommendations of cool stores to shop in Paris...

Undoubtedly, but I believe the OP was looking for a younger, "hip" atmosphere, if I was not mistaken. If he wanted old world elegance, then the Plaza Vendome shops are of course, necessary.

Posted Earlier this Year:

Arthur et Fox

I posted this last month re: Paris shopping.

I endorse Max Jones' recommendation for Arthur et Fox
on Boulvard St Germaine.I have slacks from them,
one pair of which is over twenty years old and still looks
good. They sell classical British-inspired clothing of very
high quality at relatively reasonable prices.

Other locations:

Arthur et Fox
Rue Vignon
75009 9ème Arrondissement Paris, Paris, France
01 47 42 00 32‎
01 47 42 86 81‎ - Fax

Arthur et Fox
44, Rue Bac
75007 Paris, France
01 45 44 90 40‎

There's a big department store in Paris that I enjoyed the last time I was there, but I can't remember the name at the moment. I think it was Galeries Lafayette.

thanks. I guess it is difficult to give store recommendations without actually knowing what style one wears. I am early 30s, and I like slim-fit, trendier clothing. I guess I was looking for store that are not easy to find outside Paris, something that is worth buying here rather than in the US, despite the crazy exchange rate...

Old England is fun to browse, Arny's is a must visit. I don't really care for Arthur et Fox, boring boring.

actually i know a very good store, small but with a fantastic selection of clothes and accessories

it's called CAIRNS

here are the details:

104 Boulevard Courcelles, 75017 Paris, France
01 47 63 37 71‎

the incredible thing about this store is that it's a single shop, extremely hard to find online (no website, no reviews, barely anything)
i simply walked past it 8 months ago while lost in paris, it's close to many men's shoe shops, very narrow shop all in length, very young, colorful spirit but stylish and wearable...
i had no budget for anything at that time but i dropped on the spot 400 euros for accessories and a shirt.
