If they're labeling Italian 50s at US 34 thats likely why you need to size up. I know different makers use different waists etc but I'd expect a 50 to be closer to 30" then 34.

Incotex makes different lines, each with a different rise. Somebody with a low rise may prefer the pants with a 10 inch rise.

Somebody with a longer rise may prefer a 12-13" rise. However, those pants would be 1-2 inch above the belly button for somebody with a 11 inch rise. It would be the Steve Urcel look for them. It would be perfectly at the waist for an individual that requires a long rise.

Mid-rise is usually 11 inch.

Here are 2 different styles for Incotex with different rise measurements for 32" pants.

10 inch rise
