The maybachs are too pedestrian. Any fool with some dough could show up in one.

If the point of being "driven" leans more towards comfort and ease, then hey...you can't beat a taxi.

But if the point is to impress, then arriving in a car (doesn't matter what it is), is for wannabe's.

No No...if you want to make a statement, then what you really need is...a motorcade.

This reminds me of an old Wallpaper* article from 1999 about Tripoli, which included a blurb about how Kadaffy traveled around.

    Rolls Royce Silver cloud II

The one i went in for my formal was amazing.
it had an old growth forest worth of timbre and about a thousand cows of stunning white leather, plus the driver was the best bloke.

the good bottle of Dom made the experience even better.

Man...not a single element of that car works. Every line is bad.

On another note...why has the popularity of the dreaded "stretch" limos not seemed to have wained at all? Every time I see a stretch SUV, I wonder what kind of wanker thinks this is cool.

It's so bad, it's good. It's a supremely tacky Chrysler Imperial limousine by Ghia from the late '50s, just what we need in these times of economic stoicism. Stretch limousines are generally very unaesthetic, particularly in white.

Naw...a Zil is so bad it's good...I don't think that concept is at play here. A regular Imperial...maybe. This just takes an Imperial and ruins it.

I remember when stretches first came out...they turned heads for about 10 minutes. Now it seems no matter how ridiculously long the stretch is, or whatever it is you're stretching, nobody seems to even notice them...which seems counterproductive to the statement the people inside them seem to have intended.

    I've been in a Maybach -- extraordinary.

From a purely style perspective, I'd dig on an older limo. That semi-convertible classic Merc stretch with the extensive wood trim is stunning.

The new million dollar Maybach with the retractable roof in the rear seems nice to be driven around in.

I have never seen one of those before, but it is a pretty ballin' look coming from Toyota.
