Best looking sofa ever (Polder Sofa)

Wish I had $10k to blow. Saw a green one on ebay about six months ago for $3k. Man I should have got the damn thing

Like a lot of Jongerius designs, this sofa has never done anything for me. The "quirky" covered buttons seem out-of-place with such an otherwise straightforward/minimalist design. I usually like the things that Vitra decides to put into production, too.

I'm a big Paulin fan but do not feel that this sofa is one of his more successful designs. I think it's because it seems like it should actually hold more people; the upper "humps" in the wave are pretty useless for comfortable seating, and the lower indentations would force people to sit rather spaced apart. Ask your wife if she doesn't want to cuddle while watching TV.

Haven't you learned your lesson?

I do like Paulin's designs, but prefer his lounge chairs. For me, the Florence Knoll couch is up there in the pantheon of best sofas ever.

I sat on that couch this weekend Matt, I didn't find it terribly comfortable. There's still a place in my heart for B&B Italia Charles.

No TV so that won't work. I don't like this either. Any other Paulin sofa designs that you like?

This time she is asking, so I have gotten somewhere.

I do like the Knoll design, but she does not - too cold. My guess is that she would have the same reaction to th eone iammatt posted, though I think it is great looking.
