Because it's the second most recognizable building in the world. Oh well. It's the best IMO.

The world, not America. I can recognize the white house, but if put into a line up of a bunch of similar looking buildings, I don't know. It's nothing super special to look at, despite its importance. The pyramids are extremely distinctive, and extremely well known.
