To me the best shirt makers I know are DelSiena and Borrelli, both hand made italian.

I´ve been told there are some better, sartoriale. That even the shoulders are sewn with invisible fly thread.

Any names? I hardly remember but it sounded like Dellla Ciana, can it be?

The best shirts in the world are actually made Armani Prive. They're not for sale to the general public, but only gifted from Armani himself to close friends. They're so exclusive, your head would explode if you ever saw one.

Governing iGent doctrine tells us that Kiton makes a far superior shirt than Borrelli. But iGent doctrine also tells us that RTW and MTM shirts are for small timers.

Finnolo in Genova, remember to order the 5shirt minimum. And you will be fine.

Otherwise you could do a search, and perhaps find what suits YOU.

A. Kabbaz if you fly him in your private jet to Firenze.

Uhh, I don't think the Italians would agree with that.

I guess that you must give head to him, and then his" head will explode"....

Hopefully they won't have to because it's doubtful he will be flown over to Italy in a private jet of a StyleForumite... Plus there's always Signora Matuozzo as a close second, right? :p

FWIW, the handwork in Kiton shirts is pretty incredible, going beyond even what I've seen of bespoke Matuozzo. For example, they do the hand-finishing of every seam like Matuozzo (first sewn with a machine, and then closed by hand). I don't know the technical term for this, but the side seams of the shirt body is also closed like the outseam of jeans: two pieces of fabric butted together, sewn, and the fabric edges handsewn down, and pressed flat. There's so much handwork, I wonder how much of it is preserved if a shirt has to be altered.

Yes, Kiton is my favorite...love the amount of detail especially the hand stitching around the collar and shoulders. I also agree that to the eye there is more handwork than a Borrelli shirt. My 2nd favorite would be ISAIA, really because they just fit me so well OTR.
