Best fits/ Shirts for Muscular types

What stores/ brands and which fits have you guys had success with for more muscular types? (Specifically dress to semi-casual button downs)
I'm not neccessarily talking bodybuilder here, but fairly large. IE: I am 6'2" usually around 220 lbs. 34-35 inch waist, 48 for jackets.

Makes life a bit difficult unless I get everything tailored, which can be expensive. Looking for something that shows off the physique, without being obviously tight and silly looking.

The broader shoulders also makes the sleeves seem appear to come up shorter on a regular shirt. Until now I've almost resigned myself to rolling or single cuffing my sleeves everytime I go casual.

Made to measure... though depends on what you mean by "expensive"?

I spend per shirt on MTM in the ballpark of what you'd pay off the rack at Brooks or Nordstroms...

I agree with the MTM. If you look around you should be able to find someone to make shirts for less than you'd pay off the rack at the more expensive men's stores. Plus then you get to pick all your detailing and fabrics.

Inexpensive MTM is probably the best option. If you plan to gain more muscle, leave some room to grow and try not to get shirts which you couldn't wear without a tie. That way when your neck gets too big you still have a shirt you can wear casually with the collar open.

i recommended my hugely over-muscled friend to Nialma online and his shirts look great. He had to have a test shirt though - Ask the customer service and tell them you're a muscular chap

Dude, best movie quote ever. Impressed. Thanks for the helps guys. Right now I ordered a test shirt from Moderntailor online. Well see how that works. I'm in Okinawa right now, so there are a few decent priced tailors that cater to mostly Americans, however I heard their quality isn't quite what it used to be. I'll have to go see.

While we're on this topic, what's the best way to create a taper to a wide chest and narrow waist without it looking like a woman's shirt? "V"-cut, darts, both, or you just have to expect a couple of inches of drape so as to not look like like a woman's shirt?
