5 guys all the way. I only found out about it a couple months ago, and it has instantly become my favorite, though when there isn't one nearby, checkers is my second choice.

I respectfully disagree. It's by far the best fast food chain burger around, there is no compettition in that space in NY. Remember, read: Fast Food Chain..

I don't think that counts as fast food, though. Fast food should be ubiquitous and have thousands of locations. Limit this thread to BK, Wendy's, McDix, Jack in the Box, A&W, Dairy Queen, Hardy's, Carl's Jr., and maybe one or two I'm forgetting and be specific, otherwise this just turns into another "best burger ever" thread.

I enjoy the angry whopper and the flamethrower but I don't eat much fast food.

man this is making me hangry

I won't necessarily disagree with you on that point as this is the fast food burger thread, but for Five Guys to come up so often in the Best Burger thread was a travesty.

It's a good burger but it is the fries that sell it. I also do not consider them fast food.

Absolutely, I can list at least 5 places that murder 5 guys just on burger quality, taste and overall presentation. But, since i consider them to be a local fast food chain -- i can't think of another competition with similar number of stores -- that can come close. If someone else can tell me of a competitor in the NYC area that has a better combination of Burger and Fries, please I'm all ears.

More fuel for the In-N-Out/Five Guys debate.

Harvey's. Best fast food burger (the classic) ever, IMO. Full of salt, grease, and tastes more like a sausage patty than beef.

Otherwise, I like those burgers (they have a distinct taste) that taste like the burgers I used to eat after baseball games when I was a kid.
