Well said! Some of those double breasted chalk stripe suits he wears, particularly in the first series, are exquisite.

    1993, and extremely mature/conservative.

Who knows if the super loose suits will come back into style... but I somewhat doubt it, it was a derivative of the 80's.

His brother niles always upset me. Look at this, the suit is ATLEAST 1 size too big... maybe 2 sizes. and the lapel lol, you could make 2 or 3 suits just from the lapel fabric :p

though for the record, I loved the show.

I forgive a little of the lapel width since it's a DB suit. For SB, though, that would be way too much.

It's a dated style, and I wouldn't wear it in a million years, but I always thought Niles pulled it off. Except the ties. For some reason, everybody on that show wore ugly ties.

That was the style in the early 90's. We didn't think they were ugly back then :)

I've noticed that too. Even for the early '90s they were ugly.

Very true, the 90s ties remind me of the Art Deco style ties that were first introduced in the late 1920s (but the 90s ties usually showed more color)

The same thing with the suits to a certain degree. The main difference, in my mind, is that with the advent of modern technology the stuff in the 90s was much more cheaply made and it showed.

The series themselves are fine, but his suits and shirts, windsor knot aside, are really not that pleasing:

I did a second update in my post and listed a few more (perhaps they just weren't of interest, which is totally cool too). Also, I'd double check certain things like spellings (none that I knew were incorrect, though) and networks (saw one or two I know weren't right) on IMDb. That's a good source for the actor names when none were listed.

Thanks for the suggestion about IMDb. It is a good source indeed. Thanks for making so many good suggestions. I had to cut a few of them (mostly for the fact that some shows are quite outdated). Also, (just my personal opinion) shows during the 80s usually are not that fashion-friendly. :)

I will do a little more editing to a Top30 list. I will post it once done and hope that everyone is voting on their Top10.

    Cheers,

    H

Ah yes, definitely some cutting to be done. I was thinking mostly of the other Boardwalk cast members and McDowell in Entourage. And whether or not you go with my suggestion (RH), some non-scripted names might be interested since they're presumably choosing from their own wardrobes.
