Agree on Hanks even though DB/shawl lapel isn't my personal taste (probably not what I'd buy but looks great, and distinctive, on him). Clooney looks as though he spilled on his and this one was just sitting around the theater; 2b (both buttoned = vomit), notch lapel and what appeared to be bubbling along the outer edge of the lapel. As for Crystal, perhaps give him the benefit of the doubt that showing up in white tie regalia was supposed to be for comedic affect? Or maybe he's hosted this thing so many times that this was the one iteration of formal wear he'd yet to try? Really the crux of the problem was the waistcoat; it was just too low (needed adjusting at the neck or was just a size too big) because not only is it sticking out below the jacket but I don't think I've ever seen a proper white tie getup showing four studs above the top of the waistcoat.
