Hi Guys,

new forum member and relative newbie to the art of buying better men's clothing here... I've heard a lot of good things about the Nordstrom's anniversary sale, and hoped you could tell me what suit brands are the best value for the money. I see Hickey Freeman suits marked down to $1000 but that's more than I can afford at this point. Other brands more in the $500-$700 range seem to be Abboud, HSM, Boss, Ted Baker. How would you rank order these brands? Are there other brands I should consider in this range?

Thanks for thoughts on how I can make smart choices within my price range.

Abboud is generally junk, Boss is hated on SF but may be an OK option if VERY marked down, and Ted Baker is more of a fashion/designer label. For that price range I would look at Thick as Thieves if you live near L.A. or wait and browse the B&S forum here.
