Enjoying these EG Galways in London Grain. Will go well with my western shirts when @Shirtmaven is done with then.

Those are nice. Not sure if you have any other shoes (or 10 other pairs of these) but I think you might like a zip boot. They run the gamut from very western to very city, so you have a lot to choose from, but I think they’d go better than Galway’s.

I have been thinking about getting cowboy boots but at least my personal reality is tan chelsea kind "fake it" enough for now..., what kind side zip are you thinking? I have Barbanera side zip, I like it but thought it might be too sleek for western shirt?

I sometimes feel like we could have been better friends given how we ended up making similar steez choices over the years: Cleverley, Seaman Schepps, Charvet, and now these Galways... I got mine in the usual country grain because I wanted the veldtschoen stitching though.

I also have country grain Galways with a Veldtschoen welt. Mine are shearling lined and made on EG's old 64 last. Mostly wear them with jeans and Nigel Cabourn outerwear.

The Barbanera side zips are nice. Sergio and Mark Maggiori wear them well, but I'd say they look better when beaten up a bit, like most western wear.

I'd wager almost anything from a chelsea to a side zip to a cowboy boot would look better with a western shirt than Galway's, TBH.

I feel like Galways are appropriate Western attire if you're cosplaying a character on Deadwood.

You know Al Swearingen warn't wearin' no fancy dude boots.
