not sure #9 has much asian blood :confused2: - you may be getting him mixed up w/ piobaire who is 1/2 honorary hawaiian

I have no clue what blood he has, was just saying that apparently his (facetious?) claim is in fact in the realm of possibility

:confused2:

It's a Native American person doing the rain dance common in the American Southwest. The piece was made by a Zuni silversmith named Vera Luna.

That makes much more sense, thanks.

I don't know a thing about rain dances or the apparel for them, so the tie looked mildly alarming for a moment.

I am 50% Dutch descent Oregon lumberjacks and 50% deep swamp Louisiana cajun and serious as a heart attack. Mosquitos don't bite my brother so there's something going on.

I'm glad you posted this.

It seems like the overall effect of these boots in an outfit basically amounts to a chelsea boot?

The shaft wouldn't be seen.

Basically yeah. But I wouldn't want the shaft to be seen with "regular" cowboy boots either. At least not when just standing around.

Heel is not low, it's 4 cm high. ?

A friend mentioned to me that George Balanchine often incorporated Western details into a CM outfit. I really like some of the photos and thought I'd share some here (not all these are Western, but they're cool anyway)

Apparently, his last wife wrote a book about his cat, which he loved (the cat, but also presumably his wife)

Needs more cat pics to turn this into a cat threaq. I forgot that Tanaquil Le Clercq was married to Balanchine. She had been a ballerina herself before polio ended her career.
