Bespoke tailoring in San Diego?

Hello! New to the site. I am getting married next year and was planning on investing in a true custom suit. Does anyone have any recommendations or know of any good bespoke suit makers in the San Diego area? I know there are lots of choices in Orange County but i was hoping to stay local. Budget wise I would like to stay in the 1-2k range. any advice is welcome. Thanks

I used to live there and looked into this. The only option I found was an alterations tailor at the La Jolla Brooks Brothers who did full bespoke as a side business. That location has been closed and I don't know if he's still active. I would try visiting the Ascot Shop in La Jolla and asking them for a recommendation. They'll probably try to sell you MTM but may know someone. While you're in the neighborhood, you could also visit Arturo's Tailor Shop on Fay Ave. That's my old alterations tailor. He's semi-retired and his family members are now running the shop. Again, they may know someone who can do full bespoke.

I am not aware of any tailor in the US that will make true bespoke in the $ 1-2 k range. In fact
most schlocky MTM operations charge more.
