Did a little bit of research on this forum and went with Joe's Tailor in Singapore for a bespoke suit. I had a few lower quality suits made in HK and I wanted to get the perfect suit this time.

Fabric I believe is Loro Piana Super 700's (may have gotten this wrong at the time). The suit is fully canvassed. I wanted a more modern, fitted, European Cut. I'm not too tall (5'5") and have broad shoulders, so I had two fittings already to adjust the shoulder size and the suit length.

I'm going into my final fitting and was wondering if there is any more recommendations on changing the fit/cut. Will share the final product once it's all done.

Glad we have a guinea pig for Joe's - always wondered how his work is given how people speak of him as the best there is in Singapore.

The picture angles posted are really bad for judging fit, but TBH what can be seen doesn't look too good. Shape of the jacket front looks fine, but the sleeve 'divets' (see the famous David Reeves thread for foo's colorful illustrations) and sleeve attachment looks all messed up.

The back also needs to be cleaned up a great deal. From the angle, jacket looks too short, and sleeves are definitely too long. BTW - is that a ventless jacket?

I hope Joe takes good care of you. Please post better pictures of the final result, and stand in a more natural position!

He let you leave with that?

WAY too much material in the back. The sleeve pitch is way off. Look at all the material bunching on the front view in the sleeves. Also as mentioned, the shoulders are too big. Notice the dimple on the sleeve in the side view.

I honestly believe I could make a better looking suit than this myself. And I am not a trained tailor, nor have I ever sewn anything in my life.

    Where to begin?

A)The fabric is a hot mess (This looks a LOT more like 70s than 700s)
    B)It fits you well, nowhere
C)Because the fabric looks AWFUL, there is no drape. It looks like it's made out of construction paper.

In addition to all of the above, it's also too short.

It looks like a woman's blazer.

    A) Judging fabric 'quality' over the internet, on a small, poorly taken photo? B) ...maybe the shoulder width isn't too bad? C) Lighter fabrics do not 'drape' well. If this is a S170s fabric, I would expect it to be <9oz.

IME, it's a wee bit more coarse. YMMV.

Ugh. I hope this is a joke or something. I don't know much but I know enough to know that that is a disaster. And Super 700s? WTF is that?

Sleeve pitch (if I understand the concept correctly) is comically tilted outwards. Shoulder blades are a mess. Either you're a muscle man or the shoulders are way too built out. Back through the waist is a total mess. Armholes look severely screwed up in front and back, pulling the sleeves. Chest is screwed up.

I'm sure there's more that more experienced eyes will see but this is really a mess.

i wonder why hardwarezone comes into mind [IMG]

It sure is reminiscent of HWZ. The only thing more ridiculous than the concept of a super 700s cloth is the concept of a ventless suit jacket.
