1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

basically I would like to get a good mix between fashion forward and work appropriate (i work on wallstreet)

so far i was thinking maybe the lapels could be 1/4 inch thinner and jacket could be 3/4-1inch shorter?

any other comments? would be greatly appreciated!! thanks

below are examples of what i'd like to achieve

Hard to judge at that state but my gut says no to both, leave the lapels and length as they are for overall balance.

jacket length and sleeve length is long. shoulder fit is decent. Kinda hard to figure anything else out at this stage without being there in person...at least for me.

I believe that shortening the jacket a bit would be a right choice to achieve more youthful look. I would also take a few centimeters off from the sleeves and shorten and taper the trousers as well. Hard to say anything about the lapels, but the lapels in the example pics you posted look good. Just remember not to wear any slim ties but wider ones, if you leave those lapels as they are.

I don't like very short fashion oriented suit jackets, but this one could stand to have .5" - 1" shaved off. Also, the sleeves are too long, you are clearly wearing a shirt (at least it won't go straight to creepy sartorial threak), but I can't see even a sliver of cuff. What did the tailor say? He's more of an expert (hopefully) than we are.

David Beckham would never be on a list of looks that I would like to achieve.[IMG]

As for me, I think the jacket is just long but other than that - it looks fine.
