Furniture leather? It sounds interesting... I know that those leathers soft and durable, but suitable for shoes? Please share your experiences.

Hmmm.. Antiqueing. Some customer needs that.

In a certain way antiqueing is an art. When I made a shoe ready- which takes two weeks, sometimes more - I always try to find out how I can make that better. I have plenty of fancy materials from a shoe laboratory, so if I have time, I make experiments to find out new ways for antiqueing. Now I know at least 5-6 methods and uncountable styles, but I search for new ones (Even I used my airbrush for it - e.g. for Fabro's test pair, made from crust). I enjoyed a lot..

I was kidding. I know, that it requires a high skill level.

Marcell, as I said. Mr. Feher showed me the leather and I said: Yes, I want this.

Then he started hesitating but at the end we agreed to give'em a try.

The model is a straight cap full brogue, as I call it a "Wiener" IIRC, it was the second shoe he made for me.

It is one of my most worn shoes and they have been "inspected"

by Lucian Maftei. He confirmed, that it is an unusual kind of leather, but it works. I do not receive the impression, that it is softer or not so stable, but it is more flexing.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask me.
