Bespoke (or MTM) Tweed Jacket: Made in England or Local Tailor

Gents,
Should I have a tweed jacket made by a tweed specialist in England (e.g. Bookster etc.) or should I ask a local tailor? What would be the benefits of either selection? I’m on the west coast in Portland OR and “local” includes Seattle and San Francisco. I would gladly accept tailor recommendations for any of the three locales (Seattle/SF/UK).
