I have a hard time getting ties that are long enough and wide enough to look good on my body frame. Can anyone recommend any tailors or specialists who custom make neckties?

I would appreciate any information regarding this subject as well.

I have searched for "long" neckties, i.e. greater than 58" in length, but it is difficult to find much of a selection online.

I'm a big fan of Seigo, a neckware store in New York. They will make a custom version of any tie they make, for no extra charge, if you want anything special (i.e. length, width, pointed ends on a bow tie).

I don't think they have a website, though.

Be easier to be helpful if we knew where you were.

Turnbull & Asser will make them to size with a minimum order of two.

Bowring & Arundel in London (part of New & Lingwood) will as well. Marinella, of course. Robert Talbott makes them to order in several length and width combinations...

And Brooks Brothers has some, although nowhere near enough.

Has anyone on this forum tried a Turnbull & Asser bespoke tie? I go soon to London en will try one. Is there a big choice of fabrics by the bespoke ties from T&A?

This company has been favorably reviewed on AAAC

Are those ties better than T&A?

    Tim,

I have heard good things about T & A. With that said we specialize in true bespoke ties. We will do very unusual requests such as this tie which we completed a few days ago for a client.

Unlined 7-fold - with self tipping. (Self tipping on an unlined 7-fold is very rare). English 200 warp woven silk.

Not only will we do very unusual constructions, based on the silk and client requests, but we will often custom weave silks. We weave by hand our own silks in Thailand, and we have silks woven in England.

I can't speak to T&A bespoke ties because I have never tried them, but I can speak to Mulberrywood. The ties are excellent, and the service is first-rate.
