Hi all,

New to the site and was trying to search on some info regarding bespoke suits in the Netherlands.

Since I couldn't find much, maybe someone can suggest a good place to have one made?

I am thinking about either De Oost Bespoke Tailoring in Amsterdam or New Tailor in Amsterdam/Utrecht.

I also saw the House of Tailors site but was afraid that they did not speak good english and of course I want both the tailor and I to understand each other perfectly.

Any comments on the tailors mentioned or other suggestions?

Might I refer you to: www.stijlforum.nl the modes Dutch version of this site.

If you manage to register, I am sure people there will gladly help you in English.

As far as I've heard New Tailor would be your best option in those you named, also the most expensive one, these things go hand in hand mostly.

New Tailor are not expensive. The one here in Utrecht does a suit starting at 750 euros. They also send a lot of their suits to be made in England, it says so on the website. I believe a lot of these are largely machine-stitched, even the padding. Not that this is a crime, I'm just mentioning. There's another tailor in Utrecht called Coneman's (a ten minute walk away from New Tailor).

Both of them speak good English.

De Oost and New Tailor are MTM, although New Tailor might have an option for true bespoke.

House of Tailors (Paul Verschragen) is true bespoke and I'm sure English won't be a problem. There are also some Italian tailors that travel to The Netherlands; more info on the site Axel mentioned.

I like the name. In French that would be the Swedish team.

Get a cheap flight to London and don't worry about locals.
