Well, nobody did, however since he is available here I gave him a try (measurements and fitting in Europe - tailoring in Hong Kong.)

How does it fit?

The thing ist, I am considering changing my employer and I would like to have a suit made for interviews, so I need some learned advise on the fit of this one.

Here are the things that my uneducated eye notices, the jacket is way too long. It seems to extend at least an inch from your cabosse. The fit is very sack like, I don't like the way the skirt looks, flap pockets seem to be too low. I don't like the cut of the pants. Rise seems to be an issue. I prefer cuffed pants also. You seem to be of average height and average to slightly overweight

, I'd open up the quarters of the jacket, go with a 3to2 shorter jacket with waist suppression and slimmer pants, I think that will give you a long and lean look.

I like the look of the jacket. It's a shade long, maybe, but not out of proportion. The only comments I have on it are that the upper sleeve and rear flap by the vent don't seem to lie terribly well. That's as much a tailoring problem as a design problem.

No way to tell about the trousers without seeing the whole deal. Legs look basically in proportion-- could be a little more generous higher up, and cuffed down below. But appears to be OK with the jacket.

I agree, the jacket is a bit too long - I just checked with the one jacket my gf told me looks like it was made for me (my cheapest one: Seersucker made by Boss). The jacked pictured here is 1 cm longer. The pictures are a bit distorted though, sorry, I'll have to work on that. I am actually 190 cm tall and weight 90 kg.

There is an issue with the rise of the pants - I can't put my finger on it.

The sleeves and rear flap: Thanks for pointing that out, it does not look right. I'll compare to some other jackets.

If Mr. Mirpuri can't do better he's out. In that case I'll get a RTW Zegna or wait for a sale and get a Brioni. Or - who knows Eddy Monetti? Going down to Milan a few times is about as much and as far as I can travel on a Saturday and I don't want to spend more than $2000.

+1 on longer jackets. I think the trend towrds Thom Brownesque jackets has gone too far (or not not far enough)

I think it looks smart. Maybe a bit short on the sleeve, a tad long on the coat. How's the fabric?

I'm not familiar enough with the technical details to suggest fixes, but to my eye, it doesn't seem stylistically right. YMMV, of course as personal style differs. But to me, the whole effect is a bit "stretched" as if someone grabbed your neck and waist and pulled apart really hard! I think it's the combination of the long jacket length and the long lapels. Not my cup of tea I'm afraid and I don't think it flatters you. The back of the sleeves look like they have creases pressed into them. Again, not something I like to see.

But how much? Thanks to the Style Forum I see legions of men everyday in ill fitting suits, but I can't put in words what a good fitting suit ist supposed to be.

It's not that bad. The jacket should be a bit shorter, with maybe a slightly higher gorge and buttoning stance. Opening up the quarters would help too. From the back and the side, it looks fine to me.

Sorry, could you explain that expression to me?

The quarters are the bits that hang down in the front of the jacket. Yours are fairly closed, i.e., they are nearly vertical and so you can't see much of the trousers between the edges of the jacket. By contrast, some coats are cut away more, which creates an "X" with the edges of the lapels centered on the top button.

Other than the length and upper sleeves, it looks good. However, the side view is odd, probably because of how you are standing.

Nice color combinations, by the way, and the shoes might need some polishing.
