Gentlemen,

I am toying with the idea of commissioning a bespoke briefcase and originally thought to commission one of the better bespoke shoemakers for this job, but it seems that they outsource leather goods to specialist makers. Hence, I'm thinking that commissioning these artisans directy might be a better idea. The style of briefcase will either be a traditional topframe, or a soft three-gusset reproduction of a Berluti RTW style which is my current fave.

I'm considering those in the list below - does anyone have any opinions on any of them, and also any additional suggestions?

Guy Chanel
ABP
Valextra
SAB bespoke
April in Paris
Glaser

I'm looking for the best quality imaginable, something to last a century and be carried every single day, superior to any RTW or "brand". To quote Benz with regards to the Merc 600, "engineered without regard to any budget".

That's a gorgeous bag, been admiring it in your avatar before. Looks a little Hermes-ey, but in a good way.

Would you mind linking the thread?

Thanks for the rec!

Thanks for the recommendation. I would have gone with Glaser were it not for their external logo and synthetic lining. This guy looks pretty intriguing.

For a paltry sum of 10,000 dollars, I will create for you the Emperor's New Bag!

Will it be invisible so as to avoid the common gaze of the rabblement?

I've been admiring the miniature giraffe in his avatar. Reminds me of that "Opulence, I has it" commercial and I really want one.

I'm starting to wish I'd used the natural color sinew thread now looking at that case. Oh, well I'll just make another.

Robert here.
An artist.
Have been lurking for a some time although never posted.
That pencil case is the deal breaker for me.
Just had to weigh in and say how nice it is.
