I came across this company while doing internet search: http://www.adlershoes.co.uk/index.html . The method they measure your feet makes sense and the price is so good that I wonder if they are taking any shortcuts. Do you know about the quality of the shoes, construction, materials they use etc?

I wrote to them and got this answer:

"Thank you very much for your email.
Our shoes are either Goodyear welted (by hand) or Blake welted (mainly loafers – also by hand) - we use Italian calf hide – semi aniline dyed (Brogues, Oxfords, Derby’s etc… or aniline dyed (loafers) – as per our terms, wo offer the standard 2 year warranty as dictated by the EU, but, if you treat our shoes correctly, you will enjoy them well over 10 years – re-soling is being offered at which point we also re-condition the shoes. The result however depends on how the shoes have been treated by the wearer.
...
If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me,
sincerely
John H. Adler"

Thanks a lot
