www.bernhardroetzel.de I personally prefer Roetzel's book to Flusser's; his is more a "lifestyle" text than a strictly attire text as is Flusser's. Also, at certain points, Roetzel is more cosmopolitan in his approach. However, some of the casual attire Roetzel wears is less than attractive; but so far, better than Flusser's attempts at casual. In addition, Roetzel seems in better shape--and more sincere and friendly--perhaps simply the side effect of foreign English--in tone than Flusser's somewhat over-inflated Custom website.

It seems from some of the photos on the site that he favors a fairly built shoulder. I also notice that in the first little graphic, he is coming out of a vintage '60s Mercedes-Benz heckflosse.

I have written a couple of books on menswear and ladieswear but they have never been translated into English. I would love to publish two more volumes on menswear, one about bespoke tailoring and another one about the 100 most important outfits for men but so far no publisher wants to touch them. It seems the competition of my own book is too strong.

His was the first book I bought on mens clothing and it remains, to this day, my favorite. In fact, it's really his fault I became interested enough in good clothing that I eventually found my way to StyleForum. And it's his fault I have all of those Church's shoes. I wish he had been sponsored by Edward Green...

I do hope his other books find a publisher.

I have personally met Mr.Roetzel and he is a very pleasant gentleman and with very good taste.

I have not the experience of meeting Mr.Flusser but I know him by reputation and I am sad to see he is wearing out so badly like a bad mitten. People who teach style should not look like a bad mitten.

That picture of him on the home page is great. The hair, the glasses, the umbrella, almost everything in fact. I haven't had the pleasure of reading his book yet, though.
