Does anyone know who makes the new B&B "dream flannel", or could say how it compares with the standard VBC flannel? Thanks!

VBC is standardly 11-12 oz. This is 15 oz. so it should feel much more substantial than VBC flannel and should drape better too. It's also an English flannel instead of an Italian one. English ones have a reputation for behaving differently, but I'm not exactly sure how.

Thanks! Was torn between picking up a charcoal flannel from B&B or a single pleat VBC charcoal flannel from another affiliate vendor on here. In the end, I think the double pleats on the Antonio (the only one with enough thigh room to work for me) swayed me the other way unfortunately.

The B&B flannels are amazing--the heavier weight goes a long way in terms of drape and overall elegance. I much prefer heavier English flannel.

Have you tried B&B trousers before? Just wanted to note that they don't measure the thigh at the crotch but 5 cm below. This will make the thigh measurements smaller.

I have not! I am a little put off by the double pleats on the Antonio model, and the rise on the Arnold model is simply too high for me, while the thighs seemed too small.

The Antonio trousers are sublime, I recommend reconsidering! What's wrong with a double pleat??

Entirely a personal preference thing! A single pleat just looks a bit tidier to me.

I get that. I like double pleats on a wool trouser, particularly high-twist or heavy flannel, since the pleat will hold its shape well. I'm more lukewarm on pleats when it comes to cotton trousers. But the Antonio flannels or high-twists look great with double pleats imho, particularly because they're a wider-leg pant for which the double pleats are more suitable. They look very clean and add nice sartorial detail. But to each their own, of course.

I got a pair of Antonio’s last year and really like them. Funnily enough I had them hemmed too and they sent the wrong fabric (grey fresco instead of grey flannel) so they kindly sent me a second pair, if that isn’t customer service I don’t know what is.
