I'm going to do a day trip to Bennington in the near future. I don't know why I haven't done it before, considering it's like 45 mins. away. But anyways...recommendations for sights in/around Bennington? Some great history museums/sites? A good lunch or dinner joint? Thanks.

Vermont or New Hampshire?

If Vermont, yes, I could be convinced to drive 10 miles out of my way to visit Manchester, as there are some fairly interesting things to do there, and if I recall correctly, there's a cool little general store there where you might be able to buy some quaint New England duck decoys and some goat's milk soap to truck back to the place you guys have upstate.

If New Hampshire, meh, you'd be better off with Portsmouth, Concord or Hanover if that whole Ivy League New England thing is that appealing to you..

IIRC, there's an AE store there also, you could probably pay for your trip by flipping seconds over on that other place, especially if one were to use an English Auction approach..

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
