Given that Batman is something of a psychopathic character, I don't see why folks are so upset that "Bent Affect" is taking up the role.

Otoh if you've seen Dredd, you'll know that Karl Urban went through that film without taking his helmet off, and was still able to convincingly emote. Why he was never considered is a mystery to me.

Urban for Batman? No- because as Bruce he doesn't have the Hollywood looks.

I always thought Bruce Wayne could do more good with his wealth funding social programs than beating up unfortunate kids.

Well, I always thought Michael Keaton was a poor choice for Batman back in the 90s, but he did ok in the end. He become known more for that than other things, and it made him seem more manly.... or is it just me?

Is Matt Damon Robin? Because THAT would really be the icing on the cake!

Michael Keaton was awful, but the movie was so campy it sort of worked to have an actor with a smirky "I can't believe I'm playing Batman!" look through the whole movie.

Is there any area of life that you don't view through a Fox News filter?

Is this the Superman/Batman thing or another Batman movie? I would prefer Christine Bale by a big margin...

It's the Superman vs Batman thing. I haven't heard that there's any continuity with the Dark Knight trilogy; it's been presented as a Man of Steel sequel.

So they're remaking the entire justice league in the future I guess? I haven't watched Man of Steel (or Iron Man 3, missed a lot summer blockbuster this year), was the new super man worth while?

This is a all new version of Batman. There won't be any ties to Nolan's films.

My hope is that since this is an expanded universe they won't be so afraid to use the fantasy elements from Batman's world. Nolan's obsession with realism took away from what made certain characters unique.

I can't help it. He has become such a political figure that I can't separate his celebrity from his acting. He's typecast himself. Bale goes to his characters. Afleck is just kind of, well, Afleck. All the time.

this is good

My only hope is I can think of how people doubted Ledger as Joker and Hardy as Bane. Both did a good job.....but then I think of George Clooney and Val Kilmer.
