I am in need of upgrading my horrible belt collection but haven't found many places that have what I am looking for. For starters, I am looking for belts with bridal fronts.... at least that is what I think they are called. No edge stitching on the belt whatsoever, just a clean front. I also don't like belts with loops. Looking for a nice, elegant buckle, nothing outlandish and with minimal logo at most or no logo at all. Any help would be great as finding elegant leather belts with no edge stitching quite a chore. Examples and pics are most welcomed.

There is a plain black leather belt by Polo I keep seeing at Marshalls (MSRP $125 IIRC, usually marked down to $30 or less) that fulfills these criteria. I would get one but they are usually in the size 40 range and I don't feel like paying to get it altered.

Also you may be looking for the word 'bridle' as in bridle leather, probably not 'bridal', although I've never heard that term used to describe the non edge stiched type of belt.

J, paying to get it altered, mail it to me and back and that would cost more than the altering fee, we charge $10 for cutting a belt a redoing it.

Try John Varvatos. They often have belts like this with a square, ranger style buckle.
