Belts which take multiple buckles

J, There are certainly straps in wider widths - and buckles to go with them. Check out the James Reid link here, which shows belts up to 1.5". I'll need to measure my current belts to find out the appropriate width. David Morgan also appears to carry different widths of buckle-less belts. I haven't seen any Moreschi belts in this style online as of yet. I am still hoping that someone can come up with a core provider of leather belt straps to the industry that has a wider selection of straps. If I have to have very plain straps in order to pull off this belt approach, it will lose a lot of its appeal.

Hermes sells belts  sans buckle. They are usually for their own H buckles, and such but obviously can be used for other ones as well.

FYI for folks in DC.  I went to the Basement up at Mazza Gallerie this weekend and got two Trafalgar belts with removable buckles for $30 each.  They have a large selection of sizes in Dark Brown and Black. They are not extremely cheap, but not a bad price.  They also have a decent selection of Trafalgar alligator belts as well, most with removable buckles.

Also, I was at Sky Valet and noticed that they carry a $400 JM Weston belt which is a slide belt with an unusual buckle.  Does anyone know if Weston makes a nice, high-end, belt strap that has the 'normal' mechanism for buckle change?

My end goal is to find a mid-price ($100-200), high-quality leather goods manufacturer who carries/will make belt straps in a variety of colors.

This is an old thread, but I recently became interested in the same thing - good places to find buckle-less belts, and good places to find nice looking buckles. (Just seems smart to have just one black belt, and be able to switch from brass to silver at will, rather than paying for a whole second belt)

suggestions?

I am interested in this idea as well. I've nearly maxed out my 20-belt belt hanger.

This is the exact thing that I'm looking for. Did you ever find such a manufacturer?

For starters, check out Martin Dingmans belt called Smith. It comes in black, luggage and burgundy with interchangable buckles in silver plate and brass. Also, Luxury Apparel International (LAI) has a terrific selection of straps in all types of skins and leathers.
