I have pair of John Lobb oxfords in Chocolate Lord Calf, and am having the hardest time matching a belt to them as they aren't really brown or burgundy. Anyone have shoes in this color? If so, what color belt or what specific belt do you wear with them?

Thanks in advance!

get a brown belt and apply some burgundy polish to it. I had a similar issue matching my buffalo tan JL double monks. I just got a tan pebble grained Ferragamo belt and darkened with a little tan polish to match. came out great

Thanks for the suggestion, will give it a shot. I didn't think polish would actually change the color enough.

I have Lobbs in Dark Brown Museum or whatever they call it, bit too reddish for a standard dark brown belt, AE Chili or Burgundy belt is close enough for me, I an NOT paying $500 for a Lobb belt, besides I think that color is discontinued anyway.
