Fellow Gentlemen and ladies (though I seriously doubt there are any ladies on SF), If you lived in NYC you may not believe it but apparently summer is fast approaching. I've had some new cotton trousers made up in various shades of khaki and after several fittings they are ready to be shipped. One issue remains outstanding. Yay or nay on belt loops. Until today I've never had belt loops on suit trousers, but always had them on casual trousers. Time to change? I just can't decide? I will be wearing a coat and tie almost all of the time, and proper formal shoes (no loafers or moccasins, and definitely not flip flops). Do they the trousers look too formal without belt loops? I know I can always make half the trousers with, and half without, but even before I do, I still wonder. Not sure if it matters, but I have only one belt buckle, and a black strap, and a brown strap. So I don't have a belt collection that needs to see the light of day. Opinons and arguments please. Thank you.
